Fit for a King
The hotel’s signature restaurant, 1932, is named after the year that Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor opened. A truly unique dining experience, 1932 is the only restaurant in Siem Reap that serves traditional Royal Khmer cuisine.
The menu offers a tantalising selection of dishes like seared Seabass fillet with grilled banana blossom, and crispy Kroeung marinated quail with Khmer curry sauce.
The newly-minted Raffles Marquee is an elegant centre hosting events from classic Khmer performances, modern fashion shows to weddings and conferences. The venue’s design draws inspiration from the golden age of travel with its sophisticated, and fully-airconditioned, space.
Traditionalists can be rest assured that the hotel refresh has retained its colonial charms of the past. The hotel’s original timber elevator remains, as does the vintage ambience of the Elephant Bar. The iconic checker-tiled lobby, that has welcomed a list of royalty, film stars, writers and artists over the decades, is still firmly intact.
