The popular Central Texas floating and music festival, Float Fest, announced its star-studded lineup on Thursday, March 3, bringing artists like Chance the Rapper, Pusha T, and Aly & AJ. The event is slated to take place on July 23-24 at a 765-acre private property in Gonzales, about an hour east of San Antonio.
Other artists on the lineup include Marshmello, Vampire Weekend, Cage the Elephant, Deadmau5, Lord Huron, Chvrches, Kaytranada, Quinn XCII, and 100 Gecs. Additionally, Tove Lo, Hippie Sabotage, Two Feet, Sueco, Nane, Daisy the Great, CVBZ, Sam Austins, Sir Woman, Me ND Adam, Madeline the Person, Doublecamp, Little Image, Games We Play, and Blossom Aloe will be at the festival.
Float Fest organizers stated in a news release there will be no overlapping performance times, allowing attendees to watch every set.

“Our Float fam’ can expect an unparalleled summer experience that celebrates our roots as the first and only Texas music festival centered around floating the river and camping – true Texas traditions,” Marcus Federman, Float Fest Founder, stated in the release. “Our lineup, experiential offering and new, pristine Ranch location make this a can’t miss event.”
Like most concerts and events, Float Fest was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s unclear why no plans were set for 2021. The string of bad luck started in 2019 when organizers canceled the festival a month before the event due to the new grounds in Gonzales not being ready.
For 2022, organizers said the ranch measures three times larger than the previous venue, which was in San Marcos. The Gonzales property offers more camping options, floating accessibility, additional parking, and enhanced spaces for fans, the release noted.
The Texas floating festival is slated to take place on July 23 and 24.
With the Guadalupe River forming a horseshoe shape around the entire festival site, the river entry and exit points are located within walking distance, according to the release. The location is adjacent to the city center of Gonzales, providing access to grocery stores, retailers, hotels, restaurants, and more.
