Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard was spotted at a popular Birmingham curry house which has lifted the lid on his order. The former Liverpool captain and England star liked one of their popular offering so much he ordered it twice, BirminghamLive reports.

Gerrard went to celebrity hotspot Asha’s and, according to restaurant bosses, ordered two portions of their popular Prawn Shan E Nisha. The 41-year-old is the latest star to dine at the popular eatery, joining the likes of Tom Cruise who was spotted there last August.

That particular dish comprises king prawns marinated in yoghurt, cheese and a touch of cardamom and is priced at £24.75 a portion.

He said: “Indian cuisine is so popular and everyone wants a nice curry in a relaxing restaurant. We offer that and we’ve established ourselves over the last 15 years. For us, every guest who dines is treated like a celebrity. Everyone gets the same level of service, whether they’re an A-lister or not!”
