Patrick Schwarzenegger and his iconic father Arnold have a fun and fitness relationship.
You will find hardly a gym in the world that does not have a lifesize poster of Arnold Schwarzenegger – the iconic Terminator hero and Conan The Barbarian lead – looking down at bodybuilders as an inspiration.
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s bestseller book “The New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding: The Bible of Bodybuilding” is truly the Gospel of men’s fitness. Now as the Austrian-American actor, film producer, businessman, former bodybuilder and politician who served as the 38th governor of California between 2003 and 2011 is set to turn 75 on July 30, his sons – especially Patrick Schwarzenegger and Joseph Baena are all out to impress you.
Patrick Schwarzenegger often shares clips of his workouts with celebrity trainer Ben Bruno. Also a Hollywood actor himself, Patrick often shows off the visible changes to his physique as he works out tough regimes to prepare for his film roles.
His Instagram posts show him exercising at the crack of dawn with the “5 am challenge” and he appeals his fans to join him in the training.
But we bet that the new routine the 28-year-old actor carries out each morning to jump-start his system for those killer training sessions is not stuff meant for the faint-hearted.
Patrick Schwarzenegger is a big endorser of Thermal Exposure. That is the system of shocking the body into extreme temperature zones in a matter of seconds.
“Sauna to ice bath,” he wrote in the caption. Game changer.”Patrick Schwarzenegger wrote alongside his Instagram post.
Patrick Schwarzenegger writes on his Instagram page: “Sauna to ice bath. Game changer” next to the video of him walking out of a steam bath straight into a cold water tank (bath) – 144 degrees (Fahrenheit) to 44 degrees (Fahrenheit) says the voice-over.
Lot many Thermal Exposure fans out there:
Big wave surfer and fitness entrepreneur Laird Hamilton who still trains to extremes at the age of 57 – told Men’s Health – “It’s like a warm-up. I’ll go out in the morning in the dark and sauna to start the day, a really hot one. I’ll do something really hot, or you could also just jump in an ice tub and get the opposite of that. Either one of that kinds of extreme thermal exposures is gonna boost the system. It’s gonna rev you up. I would take a cold shower, but the problem is most people’s showers don’t get cold enough. But the heat gives you a good kick.”
We have seen several fitness icons and Hollywood hunks endorse the Ice baths. Those who practice it say that it is the fastest muscle recovery method – endorsed by none other than “Ice Man” Wim Hof.
Another Hollywood hunk Dwayne The Rock Johnson and the professional wrestler-turned-actor told USA Today that he showers at least thrice daily: “A cold shower “when I roll outta bed to get my day rollin,’ ” a warm shower “after my workout before work,” and a hot shower “after I get home from work,” he tweeted for his fans.
A new reality show on the BBC, Freeze the Fear with Wim Hof, features a variety of physical and mental endurance challenges. Celebrities like Kendall Jenner and Liam Hemsworth are also big fans of freezing cold techniques.
