DETROIT — Network television star and standout comedian/actress Amanda Seales is set to bring her National stand-up comedy tour to Downtown Detroit, playing at the Fillmore on October 8. The co-star of HBO’s highly successful “Insecure” as well as a familiar face on FOX’s ”The Real” has been touring this summer on her “Black Outside Again” series, which launched back on June 24th in Brea, CA.
The first leg of her tour, which included stops in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Washington, D.C., featured mostly sold out shows, and the demand to see the young actress on stage continues to grow with her fame.
Now on the second leg of the tour, Amanda has her sights set on bringing the same energy and success to shows in Houston, Brooklyn, Atlanta, and more. In addition to her acclaimed stand-up stage show, the young star also mixes the set up a bit with her variety game show, “Smart, Funny, & Black.”
For her upcoming show in Detroit, Amanda has tapped in to two notable names in the area; funny comedian Comic J. Will, and media mogul Randi Rossario. Both will be playing the Fillmore for the first time this year. “I think it’s great that someone with such a large platform outside of our area, would extend the invite for someone within the area to share in the spotlight”, says Randi Rossario, whom has also been making national noise this year in a variety of media facets, including becoming the Director of Operations for new lifestyle record label WRKSHP, founded by music industry icon Che Pope.
“What we will see on (October) 8th is a night of heavy laughs, while also showcasing some amazing talent for an amazing crowd”, Randi adds.
Tickets for the show are currently still available for purchase at www.AmandaSeales.com and start at $38 while they last. The Fillmore Detroit is located at 2115 Woodward Avenue, Detroit, MI 48226. Showtime is slated for 7:30PM.
